The City of Burns is applying for an Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) Large Government Grant of up to $1 million to develop outdoor parks and recreation trails, equipment, and systems. This grant is funded from Oregon Lottery Bonds, not from taxpayer funding. We're doing a survey to solicit your feedback on the quality of our parks and what you'd like to see included in our application. The survey takes about 7-10 minutes to complete. On January 8, 2025, Mayor Jerry Woodfin opened his last meeting after 8 years of service, where he helped the City of Burns welcome and swear in their new Mayor Brad Erbe and returning Council members, Jennifer Keady, Jen Hoke, and Heather Smith. A big thank you again to Jerry for his years of service to the city as well as a big thank you to our new mayor and returning councilors for their commitment to this community! Here is to an amazing next four years! :)
