ASPHALT TAILINGS:
The City of Burns is excited to give away FREE asphalt tailings to interested parties! This material is leftover from road construction projects and is great for fill projects you might have!
This initiative is part of the City's efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainability by recycling materials that would otherwise be discarded.
There is a designated area, so interested parties should plan to have their own equipment for loading & hauling materials. Come to City Hall during regular business hours at 242 S Broadway or call 541-573-5255 for more information or to schedule a time to pick up these FREE asphalt tailings.
Wednesday, October 9, 2024, starting at 6:00pm, the Burns Fire Department will be doing hosting a training through the Oregon Department of Safety Standards and Training (DPSST). This will take place on the street in front of the Burns' fire hall. The training will focus on flammable liquids and we will be using a propane prop. This prop has the ability to produce flames that appear to be unstable. Be assured, this is a controlled event with several safety features. We want the public to be aware of this so. if there are any concerns, you will know what is happening and why.

The airport meeting has been rescheduled to October 15 at 1:00 pm at Burns City Hall. It’s not being held on Monday because it’s Columbus Day and City Hall will be closed.
Are you planning on making major improvements or renovations to your home? There are incentives available through the City of Burns URA that can reimburse you for some of those costs. If you would like to know more about the URA and how it works, or if you would like to get an application to the URA, please contact Burns City Hall and speak with the City Clerk Tiffany Leffler or the City Manager Judy Erwin.
All outdoor burning restrictions have been lifted for the City of Burns:
