PUBLIC NOTICE: We are starting to see a lot of water from the melting snow and issues with flooding in some parts of town. A sand bag filling station is available out behind City Hall if anyone needs sand bags. It will be self service. The crews are working diligently to open up the ditches and divert the water.

The City of Burns is applying for an Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) Large Government Grant of up to $1 million to develop outdoor parks and recreation trails, equipment, and systems. This grant is funded from Oregon Lottery Bonds, not from taxpayer funding. We're doing a survey to solicit your feedback on the quality of our parks and what you'd like to see included in our application. The survey takes about 7-10 minutes to complete. Thanks for your feedback! https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6KY5WW5

If you have concerns about the city's water please feel free to watch the video from last nights City Council meeting where it was discussed, call City Hall, or view the city's 2023 Annual Drinking Water Report on the links below. It is the most current report and the 2024 Annual Drinking Water Report will be coming out later this Spring. The city's water is safe and the city is continuing to work to keep it that way.
